im a handyman and i do jobs on the side is this self employed? Thank you for your answer.

being self employed means that you rely on your self for income. you pay your own bills with the money you make. you are still an employee though you work for your self. owning a business means that you leverage your time with others that they do most of the work and you make money of off there efforts

    You are self employed if you don’t work for someone else. You do jobs on the side which is called free lance, which is being self employed. You earn money by yourself, not from another company.
