What To Consider With A Chinchilla Cage

Chinchillas are rodents, they remind me of a rat-like squirrel. So when it comes to setting up its home there are a few things to keep in mind. First off, a chinchilla cage is not a prison. The cage isnt where your little guy should be stuck all the time.
He needs to get out a bit each day and get some exercise and of course attention. He will be a much happier little guy if you allow him out. Of course todays cages have so many add-ons but even with tubes and additions it doesnt take the place of getting out and jumping around the room like theyre suppose to.

Also the place you have the cage matters. Chinchillas are temperature sensative, and having a set up where the temp is too hot or too cold could be a really bad idea. Same goes for humidity. Avoid real humid spaces as its bad for their hair.
